Hi everyone!
I want to start off by saying a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who submitted a song in my “Fan Song Contest”.
My reason for holding this contest is because I wanted to give someone the opportunity for their talent to be heard and I hope more signed artists will eventually do the same! =)
Again, thank you to everyone for your hard work and keep chasing your dreams!

Here are a few words from Jeff and the reason for this song…
“This song was inspired by a good friend of mine who was killed in combat in Afghanistan in April of 2006. Until that day, the role and history of the Canadian Armed Forces was intangible to me. Symbolic and proud, but intangible.
November 11, 2006 was the first time I had ever really been connected to our Forces heroic past, dynamic present and important future… and like everything else in my life, I had been unable to express the emotions I had felt – so I wrote “The Call” with the help of my wife Paula and our kids, Tegan and Gabrielle.
It’s kind of funny, but if you ask my children what I do for a living, they would likely say that I get dressed in a suit, go out for lunch and come home in time to make sure the homework and chores are done. They might also say that sometimes, I get to go out and play music for a bunch of people and have a great time… either way, not a bad way to spend a working life.
Shortly after we got word of what happened to my friend, they asked me that if someone could choose to do what I did, why would someone choose to do what soldiers did? Why would someone put themselves in dangers way for others? Why would someone go so far away from the ones they love to protect people they didn’t know? I didn’t have an answer… so we wrote the song.
I still don’t have an answer. But I’m grateful to God that there are people who can answer that question inside themselves and answer the call.”

Hi everyone!I recently did a video blog on my facebook to update you all on what’s new but, I thought I would write a blog about some of things that have been happening lately, and what will be happening in the near future!
I hope you all have been enjoying “The Tara Diaries”! I had such a great time filming and creating this show but, I’m so sad that it’s over! I have some really GOOD NEWS!!! There will be a marathon of “The Tara Diaries” Sunday, September 14th on CMT!!! The series will also be broadcasted again starting Thursday, October 9th on CMT!!! Thank you all for watching!!! =)
Just yesterday, I returned to Toronto from my trip home to Hare Bay. I had a few days of being with my friends and family and it was just so great to be HOME! I would like to send my condolences to the families of Nicey Humphries and Kathleen Davis. May you both Rest in Peace and you will always be in our hearts.
“FLY GIRL” has cracked the top 10 on the Chevy Cross Canada Countdown! Wohoo!!! This is such a huge accomplishment and I’m so thankful to all of you for requesting and voting!
I’ll be hosting CMT Music this coming weekend! Ash is away in Hawaii (lucky bird!!!) and I’ll be filling in for her this weekend. I miss you Ash and be safe down there!

Hey there! Alrighty! Well this is my very first blog since the ones I did on Canadian Idol. Since the show ended, I wanted to write about and even capture on video blog what is happening OR NOT happening in my life. I just always seem to look back at the good or bad that has taken place in my life and I can never really remember what happened because I didn’t write about it or take pictures etc. I can’t believe it’s already January 2008!!! Happy New Year! A little late I know… Last night I painted my apartment! It was lacking in the colour department. I have a lot of neutral colours and I needed to have that POP of colour to say, “HEY THERE YA GO! It’s blue in here!” Although I had a ton of fun painting and decorating my pad, it brought me back to when my Mom and I would do this together. My Dad would always do the hard part (the painting) and Mom and I add our girly touch of Pottery Barn or Homesense. Speaking of Mom & Dad, I can’t believe how strange it is being on my own and being away from Home. My Parents are like two of my greatest friends that I don’t get to hang with anymore. Mom said she is coming up to visit me next month which I’m super excited about but, Dad has to go away to work in Calgary. I’ll take a trip out there to see him soon. Maybe go fishing or catch a hockey game! It’s a great excuse to visit out west where country music is alive and happening! I’ve never been so, it’ll be a hoot! On the topic of country music! This ole career of mine is gonna have to get on the go! I’ve been strategizing how I want to take on this business for a few months now. After years of being on the road paying my dues, I feel that I’m now ready to try to break into the “business” side of music. I’m thinking of taking a trip to Nashville next month to see the sights, possibly set up a couple of meetings with some business folks and maybe even do some song writing while I’m there. I’ll keep you guys posted and maybe I’ll even video blog it while I’m down there! Maggie (my best friend) is calling! Gotta run! Xoxo T
